This past week, the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the Panhellenic Council (Panhel) and the Order of Omega hosted Greek Week. The week started on Monday with Comedian Pete Dominick at 9:30 p.m. in Pierce Dining Hall. On Tuesday, IFC, Panhel and the Order of Omega showed John Landis' Animal House on Palmer Lawn. IFC held a Greek-only carnival on Wednesday. All the boys and girls of Hoboken were invited to join the Greeks for a good, clean time. This event included a moon bounce, a dunk tank, a basketball game and a cotton candy machine. In addition, each house also held their own event with some houses doing face painting, sand art, a water balloon toss or making snow cones. The Greek chariot races, which were originally going to be held Wednesday evening, were rescheduled for Friday afternoon. On Thursday, the Greeks hosted a Greek-only "Family Feud." Nico Martinez, Sigma Nu Treasurer and Vice President of IFC said "Greek Week has gone very well this year because we've involved every house in the planning and in every event. We had a few problems, but the committee was great and dealt with everything thrown at us." Greek Week will close with a barbecue on Palmer Lawn today and the awards for the week will be handed out at the Student Leader Awards Brunch on Sunday.
